Eunice Dobie died on Thursday 1st July. Eunice, a Life Member, worked hard for the Swimming Club from when she joined in the early 1980’s. As well
as being Club Secretary and then the Treasurer she was also a Coach with the Synchronised Swimming Team. Eunice also worked
behind the scenes at events staged at the City Pool including the British Grand Prix Events, in supervising the superb catering
which was provided for officials and coaches in the Civic Centre. The
Club’s sympathy goes to her husband Joe, well remembered as B Squad Coach, and her children Graham and Angela, as well

Games 2010 is being hosted in the NE & the swimming events are happening at The Sunderland Aquatic Centre on 4 &
5 Sep 10. Tickets are limited and will be given on a first come first serve

Small pool closure >>> Discussions are still continuing between the club and the City Council regarding the closure of the small
pool. We are pleased to note that Councellor Greg Stone has stated, 'I want to ensure all groups using the small pool
are found suitable alternative provision.'
