The basic entry standard for AA squad is the attainment of Age Group and Senior National standard time.
The aims of AA squad are to further develop swimmers technique, stamina and speed by means of additional training sessions
and programmes suited to individual swimmers needs and to encourage the swimmer to take part in the National championships
and at International level.
Dry-land conditioning and flexibility exercises are utilised together with individual weights programmes for swimmers.

Squad Coach
Ian Oliver
Head Coach
Ian Oliver was the club's first Head Coach from his appointment to the city in
1987 through to 1988 and his elevation to direct and coach the ASGFB Regional performance Centre. Ian has coached British
Teams at various levels since 1980 and twice has been a member of England's Commonweath Games Staff. In 2000 Ian was a
member of the Sydney Olympic Games coaching staff. Since 2001 Ian has coached Great Britain teams.
