The basic entry standard for AA squad is the attainment of NER standard times.
The aims of AA squad are to further develop swimmers technique, stamina and speed by means of additional training
sessions and to encourage the swimmer to take part in the Age Group National Championships and competitions outside the district.
Dry-land condtioning and flexibility exercises are utilised in addition to early morning training sessions.
Promotion to AAA squad will be the joint responsibility of the AA squad coach and the Swimming Development Officers.
